If you live in Harlem and have spent much of your life being the dependable one, you may also feel the quiet weight of always being needed. Eldest daughters often learn to prioritize others’ needs early, which can lead to burnout, anxiety, or difficulty asking for help. Trauma-focused therapy offers space to explore these experiences with care and clarity.
Many clients in Harlem choose virtual therapy because it allows them to engage in meaningful, culturally attuned care without the added burden of commuting or rigid scheduling. This work supports long-term emotional sustainability, not just short-term relief.
